Please note: The information below applies only to guests who choose to book within the Hakim & Aishja wedding room block at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel. These policies are set by the hotel and outlined in the couple’s signed contract. Individual reservations made outside of the room block may be subject to different rates, availability, and terms.

To ensure transparency and a smooth booking experience for all of our guests, please review the key hotel policies below related specifically to our Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel wedding room block. These details are outlined in our signed hotel contract and may be helpful when planning your stay.

By attending the wedding events and participating in any related activities during the wedding weekend, all guests acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions below:

1. General Conduct

Guests agree to behave in a respectful, courteous, and responsible manner at all times while on the premises of Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel and Canvas Venue during all wedding related events. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from an event at the discretion of The wedding couple, security, or staff member.

2. Alcohol Consumption


Guests understand and acknowledge the following:

  • They are solely responsible for monitoring and managing their own alcohol consumption.

  • The couple is not liable for any injuries, accidents, damages, or incidents arising from alcohol use or intoxication.

  • Excessive drinking, disorderly behavior, or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.

3. Minors & Child Supervision

Parents and legal guardians retain full responsibility for the supervision, safety, and conduct of their children at all times, including but not limited to:

  • Pools

  • Guest rooms and balconies

  • Walkways, elevators, and common areas

  • All wedding events, dinners, and gatherings

The couple is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents involving minors.

4. Off-Property Activities & Transportation

Guests who choose to explore the premises for excursions, nightlife, shopping, transportation, or any other purpose do so at their own risk.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Tours and excursions

  • Taxi or ride services

  • Water or adventure activities

  • Exploring Downtown Chicago or nearby areas

The couple is not responsible for any injuries, losses, delays, damages, or incidents that occur.

5. Personal Property & Loss Prevention

Guests are fully responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Passports

  • Phones, cameras, and electronics

  • Cash, credit cards, and wallets

  • Jewelry and valuables

  • Luggage and personal items

The couple is not liable for any stolen, lost, damaged, or misplaced items, whether occurring at the resort, during travel, or at any wedding event. Guests are strongly encouraged to use in room safes and secure their belongings at all times.

6. Assumption of Risk

By attending, guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with travel, activities, alcohol consumption, pool use, excursions, and participation in wedding events.
This includes risks related to:

  • Slips, falls, or injuries

  • Food or beverage consumption

  • Sun exposure

  • Transportation

  • Weather conditions

  • Activities

7. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests hereby release, waive, and hold harmless the couple, their families, wedding party, planners, vendors, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, injuries, or losses arising out of:

  • Attendance at wedding events

  • Stay at Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel / Canvas Venue

  • Participation in any on or off property activities

  • Travel to and from Illinois

  • Alcohol consumption

  • Child supervision issues

  • Personal property loss

8. Acceptance of Terms

Attendance at any wedding related event constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of all terms outlined in this disclaimer.

    Rooms are limited per night and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • The following discounted group rates have been secured:

    • Queen/Queen Standard Room: $197 per night

    • Run of House Room: $167 per night

    Rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently approximately 15%) and will be applied at the time of checkout.

  • Yes. All reservations must be made on or before Wednesday, July 22, 2026 (the “cutoff date”).

    After this date:

    • Any unreserved rooms will be released back to the hotel for general sale

    • Reservations will be subject to availability and the hotel’s prevailing rates

  • Guests may:

    • Book online using the official Hakim & Aishja Wedding Room Block link, or

  • Individual reservations are subject to the hotel’s standard cancellation and modification policies, which will be provided at the time of booking.

    • Changes or cancellations must be made directly by the guest

    • The couple is unable to modify or cancel individual guest reservations

  • Each guest is responsible for their own room charges.

    • A valid credit card may be required at check-in to guarantee payment

    • Cash-paying guests may be required to leave a cash or credit card deposit

  • If you book after July 22, 2026:

    • The discounted group rate is no longer guaranteed

    • Rooms will be offered based on availability at the hotel’s standard rate

  • No. Hotel reservations booked under the wedding room block may not be resold or transferred.
